CIMA Returns to Folk Alliance International this February

CIMA will be back at Folk Alliance International, the world’s largest gathering of the folk music industry and community, from February 21-25, 2024 in Kansas City, MO.

This year CIMA’s official showcase will once again take place at Benton’s (Westin Crown Center, 20th floor) on Friday, February 23 and will feature performances from six incredible Canadian acts:

6:00PM: Mikhail Laxton

6:45PM: Matt Andersen

7:30PM: Kellie Loder

8:15PM: Miranda Mulholland

9:00PM: Zachary Lucky

9:45PM: Kaia Kater

The evening will kick off with a Meet the Canadians networking reception hosted by CIMA, the International Indigenous Music Summit, Mundial Montréal, Folk Canada, Canadian Music East Coast Style, Folquébec, Global Toronto & the Québec Government Office in Chicago at 5:00PM. Delegates will get the chance to connect with artists and industry professionals while enjoying some beverages & incredible views of Kansas City!

CIMA will once again be partnering with MusicOntario for the “Ontario and Friends” private showcasing room (Suite 640). These showcases will run for 3 nights beginning on Thursday, February 22 until Saturday, February 24 and will feature 25 Canadian acts beginning at 11:00PM each evening.

Canadian artists and their business reps will also get the opportunity to take part in an afternoon business event on Friday, February 23 from 12:30PM-2:230PM in the Sheraton Terrace. The Country Connections event, presented by CIMA, Sounds Australia, Music from Ireland, the New Zealand Music Commission and the British Underground is by invite-only and will give participants the chance to meet with delegates from across the globe.
